GR86 Lightweight Version Engine Hood

We have completed the prototype of the lightweight version of the GR86 engine hood.

Our regular FRP products are unpainted and weigh about 6kg, while our WC products are painted and weigh about 6kg.

This lightweight version is unpainted and weighs about 4kg, yet is sturdy.

The molding method used is infusion, and the front and back are made of 100% carbon and epoxy resin.

The texture of the carbon depends on personal preference, but it has the same appearance as dry carbon, which is different from WC.

In fact, solid (without using honeycomb, etc.) molding is cheaper and more cost-effective than dry carbon.

This may be recommended for users who want to make their car as light as possible when driving on a circuit, or for those who want a firm surface when painting it the same color as the body.

The planned price is 450,000 yen (excluding tax).

Clear coating is an option and is scheduled to cost 50,000 yen (excluding tax).
